The primary aim behind the idea of cashless catering is to increase the operating efficiency of your school canteen. In response to increased interest in the cashless catering scheme, VeriCool have developed additional software, which completely integrates with the VeriCool school attendance system.

By using fingertip recognition instead of conventional methods such as swipe cards or cash, you can dramatically decrease the amount of time it takes for your students to purchase their school dinners. When the pupil reaches the canteen cash register, they simply place their finger on the fingertip scanner, verifying their identity, and debiting their account.

The cashless catering system provides complete confidentiality for those students who are entitled to free school dinners. The students profile is simply modified so that the system recognises that no account needs to be debited.

The VeriCool school attendance system makes it easy to credit your students' cashless catering account. Payment can be made by cheque or a direct link to a bank account can be set up. Alternatively, your school may wish to install a note and coin loader, which allows the student to pay money directly into their cashless catering account using their fingertip to identify who they are.

Reports can be generated showing not only what the children have eaten, but how much salt, sugar and fat is being injested per day, week, month or term. This allows parents to see exactly what kind of diet their children are having when at school.

Standalone Cashless Catering

Not only an additional module for the VeriCool school attendance system, cashless catering is also available as a standalone solution and can be configured to integrate with any MIS software already installed at your school or college.
